Glamourous dining at the Martinez
Few seafront promenades boast such evocative power as the iconic La Croisette; it alone symbolises the aura of glamour that is Cannes, just down the road from Nice. This evening, as the eyes of the whole world are turned towards the incandescent red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, you have a reservation at the prestigious Hotel Martinez. Its restaurant, La Palme d'Or boasting two Michelin stars, has a delicious evening in store for you. This is where the festival jury likes to meet up. Sipping a cocktail (in moderation, of course), looking out over the sparkling blue Mediterranean, will fill you with joy.
It is then time to move to your table as the sound of low-key electronic music drifts on the gentle night air. Chef Christian Sinicropi creates a delicate, balanced cuisine for your pleasure, marrying local produce and herbs and spices of the south. Meats and fish are cooked over a wood fire, in a tandoori oven or in a wok. Give in to the seductive appeal of the Tokyo-style seabass filet with Asian mushrooms. You will not be disappointed. And the hotel has an exclusive new addition from May 2019: the Plage du Martinez beach club will offer an equally enchanting atmosphere but with the sand beneath your feet.

Flamboyant dinner show at Medusa
The famous Palm Beach Casino complex with its 1930s architecture, half-Moorish, half-Californian, is still standing at the end of the Pointe Croisette district. In the summer of 2018, Cannes' temple of entertainment got a face lift. The casino gave way to a new and elegant venue, Medusa. An out-of-the-ordinary experience awaits you in this cabaret club restaurant. Your evening starts with an open-air dinner looking out to sea, with the Lérins Islands, Estérel and the Cap d'Antibes peninsula as your backdrop. Your plate is graced with Nikkei specialities, a delicate fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours, created by Yannis Kioroglou.
Then, make your way to the theatre, bathed in subdued, atmospheric lighting. Behind the bar, cocktail mixologists play with bottles like modern-day alchemists. The soft half-light gradually takes over the room, creating the perfect conditions for dancing. On stage, a deliciously burlesque show adds extra sparkle to your night.
